I think one of the wonderful things about having lived so many places and so many different lives is that you feel at home almost anywhere. There aren't different people - just different ways of living... different ways in which peoples lives have played out due to different circumstances. No one of these lives are better or worse, and at the end of the day, all people intrigue me. What interests me most is observing people living their different everyday lives almost blissfully unaware of the fact that this life may be their only one, that human life comes with a price - mortality. In small scales and on scales spanning hemispheres people are so caught up with the little battles and struggles that they forget to see the larger picture, that they are a microcosmic part of something infinitely larger.**The dress is a 'gift' from one of my best girlfriends - she bought it in a market in India for the equivalent of about £2 (I say 'gift' because I kind of just claimed it after trying it on). I think it is apparently supposed to be a Miss Selfridge dress - I am not sure if the dress ever made it to the racks. It's one of those perfect dresses that I will be wearing all spring. It's nice & short, just the way that I like it, and it makes legs go one for miles. You just have to remind yourself to hold down the skirt when the wind blows (or at least wear cute knickers). The jacket was bought at a little boutique across from Rokit in East London. I don't remember the name, but the shoulders are great because even though they're daring they can be dressed down. I'm all about being subtle and not overdoing things. There's a certain aesthetic in playing down an outfit and letting your flesh appeal do the talking that I've loved more than being 'ferosh!, darling.'

Gorgeous and yes indeed it's a Miss Selfridges dress :)
It just made it to the racks actually and is worth 12 times what she got it for so great bargain.
You look stunning in it

awesome!
The dress looks great on you, and the patent shoes are so pretty; I've always been 'confused' as to what I should wear with patent shoes. Do you have any tips on what NOT to wear with them?
And this was funny: "or at least wear cute knickers" LOL! Love that.
You had one of my favourite blogs before I read this.. and now what you wrote reaffirms that even more. so, so true. "There aren't different people - just different ways of living... different ways in which peoples lives have played out due to different circumstances." -- its true, people are just at the same place at different times. how amazing this world is.
Have a look at my blog, I just started it :)
